Where we work in Africa
In Africa, we fight against child exploitation in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Senegal, Nigeria, Uganda and Tanzania. We offer them the opportunity to stand up more for themselves, to go to school and to live healthier lives.
Our work in Africa
We help children at risk of being picked up and sold by traffickers to work in mines, as house slaves or for sexual exploitation.
To victims of violence or sexual exploitation, we provide a safe place, medical help, education and legal support.
To girls forced into marriage or at risk of genital mutilation, we provide shelter and education. This way they can be safe and finish school.
Together with communities, police and governments, Terre des Hommes is helping build societies in East Africa that protect the rights of children.
